This district of Prague 4 is located south of the city center. A large part of the district is made up of Nusle, then Podolí, Braník, Krč, Michle, Hodkovičky, Lhotka and Kamýk. Podolí together with Nusle, are the most wanted quarters in Prague 4. It is situated on the right bank of the river Vltava. The place is known for its beautiful first republic villas. Apart from good housing, the quarter offers many recreation centers. These include the famous Podol's pool or Žluté lázně which offers a wide variety of services including beach volleyball, table tennis, pedal boats, paths for cycling and roller-blading, as well as many water sports. It is also a place for relaxation as it has both grass and sand beaches and during summer offers screening of famous movies. It doesn’t lack historical sights either. Here, you can find the oldest church in Prague, the Church of St. Michael the Archangel, built in the early 13th century. You can also visit the Vyšehrad complex which is in close proximity.
